A message from Andrew Harvey, founder of Sacred Activism, author of forty books, and Broughton’s philosopher in residence.
“Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides, and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of Love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, humanity will have discovered Fire”
Teilhard de Chardin.
The time for this discovery has come and the force that harnesses the energies of love and that can help us birth a new world is Sacred Activism.
Sacred Activism is the fusion of profound, undogmatic spiritual stamina, peace, joy, passion, strength with wise, inspired, urgent action in every realm of our world. When we unite in ourselves the two noblest passions of the soul – for union with reality and for justice - we birth in ourselves an energy of joy and passionate compassion that makes us willing and humble servants of the birth of a new humanity.
I am thrilled and honoured to be philosopher in residence at Broughton Hall because I know that Broughton is the perfect place in which to bring together all of the different truths and modalities of inspiration and healing that are necessary to help people on all paths find their innermost essence and the courage to enact their mission in the world.
The Broughton Hall Estate has been the home of the Tempest family since 1097 and enjoys a rich history stretching back over the Millennium.
